The Differences Between Dental and Medical Care

Dentistry differs from medical care by a range of responsibilities. Dentists specialize in treating oral diseases while doctors address broader health concerns. There are nine fields of dentistry, like endodontics, dental public health, oral pathology, periodontics and more. Each of them involves special treatment because of unique symptoms. For that reason, oral diseases should be treated separately from diseases that occur in other areas of the body.
